Bittergourd or karela is popular in Asian and Indian diets.
While bitter gourd is healthy and good for blood sugar, it is bitter in flavour profile. The spices and fermentation as a pickle makes the flavour milder but you should be careful if you are sensitive to the taste!

Although our pickles don’t go bad, we recommend refrigeration within 2 months of purchase to retain freshness and crunch. All pickles last up to one year in the fridge and longer in the freezer.

We recommend transferring into a container right after purchase and refrigeration after 2 months. It has to be an air-tight container, in a cool place, without contact with water. Make sure any spoon you use is dry.
