Product Description:

The famous and mighty Andhra Avakaya pickle uses fully seeded and shelled mango pieces for a fiery concoction of strong mustard flavours with hot seasoning. The mango pieces are medium sized and flavourful.

Our hot version is a best seller - with strong flavours of mustard and garlic, the pickle honours the essence of Andhra. Avakaya is a traditional Andhra pickle and a staple in most households.

Manduva prepares it fresh twice a year and uses fresh harvest from nearby fields to ensure the highest quality and taste.

The pickle is medium spicy and compliments every day tiffins, curd rice or other delicacies. If you are feeling experimental, you should use it with your lunch sandwich, croissant or breakfast toast for a spicy kick!

Ingredients:

  • Mango Pieces

Instructions:

We recommend transferring into a container right after purchase and refrigeration after 2 months. It has to be an air-tight container, in a cool place, without contact with water. Make sure any spoon you use is dry.

FAQ

What is the difference between podi and sprinkle?

Podis are raw and need to be cooked with, sprinkles are dry roasted and can be used as garnish or a finishing salt.

Are your fryums ready to eat?

Our fryums/ crisps are not ready to eat. They need to be air fried or deep fried to consume.

Are your pickles handmade?

Yes! All our pickles are handcrafted in small batches using traditional recipes. Some of our own and others have been passed on from our community. We follow authentic methods to preserve the rich taste of homemade pickles just like they are made in Indian households. We are very particular about hygiene and consistency so our commercial kitchen is washed regularly and strict processes are followed.

Are your pickles very spicy?

We offer a range of flavors from mild to spicy to sweet. Each product description clearly mentions the spice level, so you can choose according to your taste preference. You can also write to us on unigourmet2020@gmail.com.

How should I store the pickles?

Since our pickles come in packets, we encourage clients to open them up and refrigerate them. Most of our pickles will be okay for upto 6-8 months if stored well away from sunlight, heat or moisture. However, they may discolour due to the lack of preservatives so we highly recommend refrigeration in two weeks of receiving them.

How long do the pickles stay fresh?

Our pickles typically stay fresh for over 12 months in the fridge and upto 3 months outside. We strongly recommend refrigeration to retain freshness.

Do your products contain preservatives or chemicals?

Our products are 100% free from artificial preservatives, colours, and chemicals. We rely on natural ingredients, oil, and traditional techniques for preservation.
